TDHCA welcomes Avanti Viking Hills, a new affordable housing community, as it opens its doors to families and residents in Waco. The 82-unit property is a 2020 9% Housing Tax Credit recipient, receiving $1.5 million in tax credits (approximate value of $15 million over the 10-year term), and $4.5 million in Multifamily Direct Loan funds. Of the total number of units, 69 are set aside to serve households making 30 to 60 percent of the Area Median Income.
Avanti Viking Hills (Avanti means 'to advance'), is located at 6501 Sangar Avenue in Waco, and close to Community Healthcare of Texas hospice care, Richland Mall, transportation corridors (Highway 6 and I-35 are short distances away), and numerous medical and private businesses.
